“That is your legacy on this Earth when you leave this Earth: how many hearts you touched.” ~ Patti Davis ~
Beginning of this year, I was thinking of leaving a legacy.
What is the legacy I want to leave behind? I think the best thing I can do is to leave words behind. Words that touch hearts are words that encourage, words that inspire and words that teach the truth.
Weaving words into stories is a good idea. Stories can encourage, can inspire and can teach lessons of truth. A good idea is like a mustard seed. Psalm 23 for Kids was such a mustard seed for me. By faith, I planted it and it grows into a children book. If I were to hang the books and pages like leaves on a tree, it would be the biggest tree I’ve ever seen. I would like to see its branches covering other parts of the world to reach children beyond Singapore shore.
When I first saw my book on sale with amazon.com, I was truly excited. It was a dream come true. I was thrilled to see my book being featured in many online bookstores in the world: Japan, Romania, Germany, Croatia, Estonia, Australia, Italy, Latvian, Hungary, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, etc.
This September, I am excited that Psalm 23 for Kids was printed and being distributed in Singapore. So far, I have sent this book to Hong Kong, India, Canada, USA, and Romania. My friends mentioned that they will be sending this book to Vanuatu, Fiji, and East Timor.
The first step to make my life count is to leave at least one book behind – Psalm 23 for Kids my book my legacy.
